Medicaid Funded Mental Health Services (CORE):
Family Ties is a Child and Adolescent Medicaid approved Core Provider and a State Fee For Service approved Provider ( which allows uninsured children up to the age of 21 if the child is still in school) access to free in-home mental health services. Family Ties accepts PeachState, WellCare, and Medicaid . We Provide in-home services in the following counties: Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, and Rockdale.

Family Ties, Inc. will develop and grow a quality program that supports the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) initiative, to provide a public mental health system that supports accountability and consumer choice by providing services that focus on recovery, support family centered practice, show respect to children and their families, and are dedicated to excellence and positive outcomes. Family Ties will operate efficiently and effectively in order to maintain profitability as well as positive outcomes for families. Family Ties will seek to be technically advanced and support staff in becoming trained and competent in Evidenced Based Programming. Family Ties will seek expansion that fits our current goals and objectives both through location and programming.
What Are Core Services?
Core Services are an array of mental health services available for youth age 4 to 18 with emotional and behavioral issues. Services can be initiated by Parents, Juvenile Probation DJJ, DFCS Workers, School Counselors, Residential Facilities, Relatives, Community Partners etc. Through our diagnostic assessment, which is completed by a multidisciplinary team, a child’s level of care and immediate service needs are determined and they are matched with services that will help them achieve their treatment goals and may include:
