Program Overview and History
- Over 25 years providing counseling and support services to Metro Atlanta children
- Provided counseling and support services to 5,600 children and their families
- Provided in-school mental health services to 6 school districts and 73 schools
Clinical Approach
- Agency therapists utilize Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) (a therapeutic intervention developed by the University of California and the Los Angeles school system)
- Individualized therapy plans for each student co-developed with parent School based program overview/history Clinical Approach Students and parents are seen in home, schools, nights, weekends, and during breaks
- Only utilize Culturally competent therapists who understand the complexities of the students’ and their students community
- Link families to community resources
